Three unhurried days that cover the UNESCO old town, the best swimming on Čiovo, and one unforgettable day trip — with where to stay and how to get around built in.
Cathedral, Kamerlengo Fortress, the main square and a konoba dinner.
Beaches, a swim at Okrug or a half-day boat trip from the harbour.
Krka waterfalls, Hvar & the Blue Cave, or the Blue Lagoon.
Everything on the island is minutes apart on foot, so there's no rush. Start early, before the day-trippers arrive from Split.
Begin at the cathedral and the Radovan Portal while the stone still has the morning light. Climb the bell tower for the rooftop view. See the full rundown on our Trogir sights guide.
Circle the Loggia, Clock Tower and Cipiko Palace, then step one street back for lunch — the best konobas are just off the square, where prices drop and the cooking improves.
Walk the ramparts for the best panorama in town, timed for sunset over Čiovo and the open sea.
Join the locals on the waterfront promenade, then a relaxed dinner of grilled daily catch to finish.
Most of Trogir's swimming is clear water and pebble coves — and the best of it is a short hop across to Čiovo. Full details on our Trogir beaches guide.
Lively Okrug Gornji ("Copacabana") for bars and loungers, or drive the coast road to quiet bays like Mavarčica for crystal water and pine shade.
The clearest water is offshore. A short boat trip to the surrounding bays and islets is the easiest way to reach it, with snorkelling stops along the way.

Yes. One day covers the UNESCO old town and its sights, a second is for the beaches on Čiovo, and a third leaves room for a day trip to Krka, Hvar or the Blue Lagoon. Three days is the sweet spot for Trogir as a relaxed base.
Not for the old town, which is car-free and walkable. A car helps for the quieter Čiovo coves and for self-driving a day trip, but buses, taxis and organised tours cover everything else.
For a 3-day visit, stay in or right beside the old town so the sights and evening passeggiata are on your doorstep. Čiovo, a 5–15 minute walk over the bridge, is quieter and has more hotels with pools.
Krka is closer (about 1 hour) and you can swim near the falls, which makes it the better choice on a 3-day trip. Plitvice is larger and more dramatic but a long day at roughly 2.5 hours each way.
Pick a base in the old town, line up one day trip, and you're set. Everything else in Trogir is walkable.
